High Five Investments

High Five Investments, LLC v. Floyd County, No. 4:06-cv-190, R. 128 (N.D. Ga. 2008)

When an adult video and novelty store opened in Floyd County, the firm advised the County concerning its legal options and helped prepare a comprehensive ordinance regulating sexually oriented businesses. The adult store sued the County in federal court, and the County promptly moved for summary judgment. After defending a number of discovery disputes, the County renewed its motion for summary judgment, which the Northern District of Georgia granted in a 185-page opinion.  The adult store appealed to the Eleventh Circuit, and the parties reached an out-of-court settlement early in the appellate process.
